Niagara Falls Vacations

Niagara Falls is the site of three magnificent water falls, two American and one Canadian. These falls mark the spot where the Niagara River tumbles over the Niagara Escarpment. Considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world and the Honeymoon Capital of Canada, Niagara Falls is one of Canada’s most popular vacation spots, receiving over 18 million visitors a year.

Niagra Falls

The Falls

To get a spectacular view and to get a little wet, take a ride on the Maid of the Mist Steamboat which brings you right to the bottom of the Falls. This boat ride has been running since 1846. To get another perspective on the Falls, visit the Daredevil Museum, where you can learn about the many daredevils who have tried over the years to conquer the Falls.

Falling for you

If you are vacationing in Niagara Falls with your new mate, you may want to visit the Clifton Hill Neighborhood, where you can leisurely stroll through quaint streets and then decide whether you would rather stay in one of the brand new luxury hotels or in one of the more traditional brightly-colored neon-lit honeymoon motels. Wherever you stay while in Clifton Hill, you may want to have dinner at On the Twenty which is decorated with the work of local artists and is a winner of the Distinguished Restaurant of North America Award. Finish off your evening with a stop at the 007 Bar and have yourself the best martini in town, shaken of course and not stirred!

Niagara Falls Vacations - Family style

Niagara Falls isn’t just for honeymooners! If you are visiting with the whole family, you may want to check out The Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Museum. Marineland will also be a must-see for the kids. There are lots of family style restaurants offering a variety of menus at reasonable prices. One you may want to try is the Victoria Park Restaurant where Princess Di and her kids ate when they visited Niagara Falls.
