Jasper Vacations

Jasper National Park forms the northern most component of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks system. It has spectacular jagged mountains. Jasper is known for its harsh terrain, strange landforms and abundant wildlife. The town site of Jasper is located at the junction of the Icefield Parkway and the Yellowhead Highway.

Activities

There is so much to do in this beautiful place. Skiing, hiking, white water rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking are just a few of the many activities available to you. The Jasper Park Information Center is located right in the center of town and has lots of maps, information and helpful advice on what to see and do.

Attractions

Visit the Athabasca Falls to observe a spectacular waterfall. Jasper vacations should include a ride on the Jasper Tramway, a rail system that offers an amazing view of the Canadian Rockies. There are several lakes in the neighborhood; two beautiful ones to visit are Pyramid Lake and Patricia Lake. If skiing is your sport, check out the Marmot Basin Ski Area which offers some of the best ski trails in the country.

Picture Perfect

Don’t forget to bring a camera and capture some of the most amazing views in the world. As wildlife is abundant in this region, you may have the opportunity to photograph elks and bears. Often enough elks can be spotted roaming through town. Please remember these are wild animals and play it safe: don’t stand too close (at least 150 feet away) and never feed the animals.

Ensure yourself a worry free holiday by purchasing travel insurance before you leave home.
